Counselling

Whether you're navigating a difficult transition, working through relationship challenges, or seeking deeper self-understanding, counselling offers a space to slow down and explore what matters most.

I work with individuals, couples, and families using a relational and systemic lens — looking at the patterns and dynamics that shape your experience, not just the symptoms.

Toni offers on-site counselling services for businesses and organisations.

Who it's for:

Individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, or relationship difficulties. Couples and families seeking to improve communication, resolve conflict, or reconnect.

THE PROCESS

How Counselling Works

Starting therapy can feel uncertain. Here's what to expect from your first enquiry through to ongoing sessions.

01

Reach Out

Send an enquiry through the form or by email. There's no pressure — just a brief note about what's brought you here and what you're hoping for.

02

Initial Session

We meet for a first session to explore your situation, answer your questions, and see whether working together feels like a good fit for you.

03

Ongoing Work

Sessions are typically 50 minutes, weekly or fortnightly. We work at your pace, focusing on what's most meaningful and useful for you.

04

Review & Close

Periodically, we review progress together. Endings are handled thoughtfully — counselling concludes when you feel ready, not by a set number of sessions.

Frequently Asked

Some of the things people most often want to know before getting in touch.

QUESTIONS

  • Individual sessions are 50 minutes. Couples and family sessions are generally 75–90 minutes. Session times are agreed when we schedule your appointment.

  • Both options are available. Online sessions are delivered via a secure video platform, making it easy to access support from wherever you are in Australia.

  • This varies greatly from person to person. Some people find a few focused sessions very helpful; others benefit from longer-term work. We'll review progress together and you're never locked in to a set number.

  • Yes. What you share stays between us, with limited exceptions required by law — such as situations involving risk of serious harm. I'll explain these limits clearly in your first session.

  • I currently work privately and do not bulk-bill. Some private health funds do provide rebates for counselling — it's worth checking with your provider about your level of cover.

  • That's completely okay. Your first session is partly about exploring whether this feels like the right fit. If I'm not the best support for your needs, I'll do my best to help you find someone who is.
