toni gunn, counsellor, couple and family therapist and founder

Meet Toni

Toni Gunn is a Clinical Counsellor, Couple and Family Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and Educator based in Melbourne, Australia. Her experience in the sector includes private practice, tertiary education, and the corporate, education and EAP sector. Toni brings a rare combination of clinical depth, academic rigour, and genuine warmth to her work.

Toni's practice is grounded in a relational and systemic framework — she focuses on the dynamics and connections within a person's life rather than viewing challenges in isolation. This means looking at how relationships, family patterns, cultural context, and life experiences all shape the way we think, feel, and relate to others.

Whether working with individuals navigating personal challenges, couples seeking to strengthen their connection, or fellow professionals growing in their clinical practice, or organisations wanting to upskill or support staff wellbeing. Toni brings the same qualities to every relationship: deep listening, honest reflection, and an unwavering belief in each person's capacity for growth.

"I believe that healing and growth happen in the context of relationship — the relationship between you and the people in your life, and the relationship we build together."

A Relational & Systemic Framework

My therapeutic approach is relational at its core. I believe that healing and growth happen in the context of relationship — the relationship between you and the people in your life, and the relationship we build together in the therapy room.

I draw on a range of evidence-based frameworks including attachment theory, systemic family therapy, narrative therapy, and emotionally focused therapy.

But above all, I meet you where you are. Every person, every couple, every family is unique, and every organisation and the work we do together will always be tailored to your specific needs, values, and goals.
